Stepping Away From Being a Bully

Kevin sent me an email with a story that’s a bit different from others I received. While I received a lot of emails from folks who were bullied– I haven’t received many from those who did the bullying.

Kevin became a bully in elementary school, and only recently found the strength to be able to step away from what he calls “The Path of Vengeance”.

Taran’s Struggle, And How Bronies Helped

Taran-Vinny
Hello.

My name is Taran and I’m from Scotland. When I was a kid, I was bullied nonstop. Although I’m a big guy, I don’t like confrontation, so I just let myself get beat up and put down without complaining. Everyone else was talking about music and gaming and card games but I didn’t like music, I didn’t have a GameBoy or anything and I never had enough money to buy any card games like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh. That and I looked different as well.

At the start of 2008, I finally snapped and broke a g...

“To be myself, to not just assimilate”

A message I got from Jake about how bronies showed him that “being cool” isn’t the end-all-be-all~

I just wanted to send you this because your song has lit a candle in my soul that will never burn out.
I’m Jake, born with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). I got bullied way back in fifth grade. I hated it, but I always tried to stick around to try for their approval and to be “cool” and “popular”. I got called names like “bighead” and “nutcase”...

Determination To Succeed

Today, I’d like to share a letter I got from Stephen in Quebec. This letter really touched me because I’m in a very similar education/job situation– as I’m sure many of us are right now. Stephen shows us that great determination and a drive to succeed can make all the difference in the world…

Hi Forest Rain,

I really feel the need to share my story with you.

Liberated By Bronies

Rocket Hazmat's OCEver since I was little, I was picked on. Even in kindergarten I got bullied. All through school, I was picked on, made fun of, and even beat up. Be it for wearing the “wrong” clothes, watching the “wrong” TV shows, or just being interested in the “wrong” topics, kids found a way to make fun of me. I never knew how to fight back. And when I did, *I* would get in trouble, and the bully would get off scot-free.

I only had a small group of friends in school, and an even smaller group of “true ...

Wanna be different, together?

I just got this note on YouTube the other day, and the story touched me so much that I wanted to share it. This is amazing, and I’m glad that I’m not the only one whose relationship began with a letter. <3

Hey there.

After listening to your song “Great to be Different”, I began to think about some years of my life where I was bullied during all my years from elementary school up to high school...

Being Different Isn’t Who I Am- It’s What I Do.

BrenPoni

For me to explain what makes me different from anybody else is difficult, for I have not yet discovered myself as a whole yet. I have still much to learn, and many things may change.

But that being said, I am a caring person whose personal experiences have shaped my life for the better– even if I was outcasted for being different for most of my life...

Thanks to MLP, Homast Now Has Many Friends

Homast99
I made this picture and thought I’d tell you what makes me different since it’s not really something that can be shown. I’m autistic, when I was 9 I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, this meant that I always found it hard to make friends. I am now 17 and thanks to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I now have a lot of friends and find it easier to stand people who would make fun of me.
Thanks to your song I now realize that just because I’m different it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad t...
